There’s a German feel to City Square proceedings this evening, as we keep you entertained in the build up to our Champions League group stage opener against Borussia Monchengladbach.

As always we’ll be joined by a number of former Blues, who’ll be giving us the benefit of their experience before kick off. There’ll be plenty of insight this week as our two guests know City and BMG very well.

Uwe Rosler will take the lead on all things City and he’ll be accompanied by a man who turned out for both clubs during his career.

Michael Frontzeck spent two years in Manchester during the mid-nineties but it was in Monchengladbach where he made his name, having made more than 190 appearances during two spells at the club. The former wing-back will be letting us know what we might expect from André Schubert’s men.

Paul Lake completes our footballing trio and with one eye on the weekend’s fixture against Bournemouth he’ll be previewing the Blues return to Premier League action.

Before the City Square warm up, there’s a chance to whet your appetite for the main event as City U19s take on the same opposition as their First Team counterparts at the Academy Stadium.

After the game, we’ll be joined by two of the squad to get their thoughts on the result and performance from their opening UEFA Youth League tie.

Completing our on stage guests are City Square favourites, Blossoms. Frontman Tom and drummer Joe are both big Blues and recently took their place on the CityTV sofa ahead of the Manchester derby. Make sure you’re in the Square before kick off to find out how they got on.

This week’s musical offering will be provided by a traditional German Oompah band, the Manchester-based Bavarian Stompers. Their lively performance is sure to entertain fans – check out their performance last time they joined us.

Hospitality tickets are up for grabs in our ‘German or Not German’ competition, where fans will be asked to guess which of our selection of words is really native to the country.

You can also get your hands on some City merchandise by testing your knowledge of German football in our club crests competition.

Don’t forget to follow our new Twitter account - @CitySquareLive and join in the conversation.

See you tonight!
